Workshop

Do you want to contribute to developing tomorrow's education in "Human in the loop AI" and "specialization in interaction design"?

Related to data/IT at Linnaeus University, we want to follow societal developments and ensure that we educate our students in the areas that are in demand.

We are now developing a new master's course in Human-in-the-loop AI, with a focus on human collaboration with AI. In parallel, work is underway to develop new courses for a specialization in interaction design, which will also be on advanced (master) level. Our plan includes developing at least two courses and the input from the workshop will help us in aligning the course offering with the industry needs.

In order for us to land correctly based on the actual future needs from the industry and other organizations, we would like to invite you to a half-day workshop where we will work together on needs and content. Take the opportunity to participate and contribute to the design of our new master program and master courses.

You are welcome to join the whole morning or parts, based entirely on your areas of interest and needs.

When? Monday 21 October 8.30-13 (we offer lunch as a thank you at the end of the workshop)

Where? Linnaeus University in Växjö

Registration? https://forms.gle/hHCMFZtAxnFLrM3S7

The workshop will be held in English.

More information about Human in the loop AI

Our main idea for this new program is to educate the present and future professionals who will build the trustworthy and ethical AI systems of the future, and integrate AI into the interactive end-user software applications that will be ubiquitous in the world from now on. The set of skills necessary for these students to thrive (in what is arguably the world’s most competitive and fastest-growing market today) is comprised of a combination of strong technical abilities (e.g., software development integrated with AI and ML modules), the perspective of a data scientist to deal with data-driven AI solutions, and a solid conceptual understanding of human-computer interaction design (e.g., information visualization and its applications).
