Research seminar with professor Paavo Ritala from LUT University.

In this seminar, Professor Paavo Ritala will explore the next frontiers in the platform and ecosystem research stream, based on his long-term embeddedness in the field. His recent work extends our understanding of how platforms and ecosystems create value via various types of network externalities and complementarities, and how business-to-business actors can (pursue) to create platform markets, architectures, and ecosystems.

Paavo Ritala, a leading scholar in strategy and innovation, is widely recognized for his work on collective forms of organizing, including networks, ecosystems, and platforms. In this seminar, he will discuss several novel ideas that extend the theorizing and practical understanding of platforms and ecosystems.

This seminar is particularly relevant for scholars in strategy, management, and organization, but also more broadly for innovation, entrepreneurship, and information systems scholars.

This seminar will be held in English.
