Växjö: Closing ceremony master level 2024
On 29 May, Linnaeus University will hold its' closing ceremony for all students who have completed, or are about to complete, their 1-year or 2-year master programme in Växjö during the academic year 2023/2024. Students who have studied on campus as well as those who have studied in distance format are welcome to participate.
For students in Kalmar, the corresponding ceremony will take place on 31 May.
Two ceremonies during this day
There will be two separat ceremonies during this day. One for students who have studied at the faculties; Faculty of Social Sciences and Faculty of Health and Life Sciences. And the other ceremony for; School of Business and Economics, Faculty of Arts and Humanities and Faculty of Technology.
- 10.00 pm - noon Closing ceremony: Faculty of Social Sciences and Faculty of Health and Life Sciences.
- 2.00 pm - 4.00 pm Closing ceremony: School of Business and Economics, Faculty of Arts and Humanities and Faculty of Technology.
Which ceremony you shall attend is stated in your invitation.
Programme
The closing ceremony is a festive event with a mix of speeches and entertainment. The new graduates are invited onto the stage to be congratulated by their respective faculty. After the ceremony, there is time for mingle.
Invitation and more information
An invitation will be sent out by email in the beginning of March.
This email will contain information on how many guests you may bring and what dress code applies, etc.
All students who register for the closing ceremony will also receive more detailed information about the ceremony and how you will be celebrated during the ceremony.
Those who have studied in distance format are very welcome to take part on location, or can choose to take part via Zoom if this is preferred.
Live broadcast
The closing ceremony for master level students is broadcasted live on the web. This way, your family, friends, and relatives can take part of the event even if they cannot be present. A link to the live broadcast will be published earlier the same week on Lnu.se.
