WHAT'S UP/Regenerative Energy Communities
A reflection on the Regenerative Energy Communities project and our ongoing work on imagining and prototyping small-scale forms of sustainable energy provision inspired by local farming communities in Växjö, Sweden, DIY maker cultures, and also the rich and emergent principles and practices of fields such as regenerative agriculture. What can it mean, as artists and designers interested in technology and infrastructure, to work with prototypes and workshops that aim to directly address questions of ecosystem health, biodiversity, technological pluralities and community empowerment? What can a "regenerative" approach entail in practice? What is difficult but exciting in working with the regenerative as a grounding point for creative and sustainable practice?
The seminar will be held in English. You can also choose take part in person in room in M1105 on Linnaeus University's campus in Växjö.
