This week Yagmur Atlar will have her midway seminar for her PhD project: "From Proscenium to the Digital Arch: Tracing Spatial Depolarization in Contemporary Theatre."
About the seminar:
This week IMS and MIDWorld PhD student Yagmur Atlar, PhD student in English Literature, has her midway seminar. She will present and discuss parts of her ongoing PhD project: “From Proscenium to the Digital Arch: Tracing Spatial Depolarization in Contemporary Theatre." The discussant will be Eleni Timplalexi, lecturing staff member (E.E.P.) at NTLab, Department of Communication and Media Studies, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA).
Short bios:
Yagmur Atlar, PhD student in English Literature and carrying out her research in contemporary theatre as a part of MIDWorld (Multimodality and Intermediality: Humanist Research in a Digital World) graduate school and affiliated with Linnaeus University Centre for Intermedial and Multimodal Studies (IMS).
Eleni Timplalexi, is a lecturing staff member (E.E.P.) at NTLab, Department of Communication and Media Studies, NKUA. She held a post doc (2015-2017) in Digital Media and Theatre, Department of Theatre Studies, NKUA (IKY Fellowship of Excellence for postgraduate studies in Greece-Siemens Program), where she also completed her PhD with an IKY scholarship. Also, Alexander C. Onassis Public Benefit Foundation Scholar in Theatre Practice (2005-07). Her research traces the intersections between Performance, Digital Media, Theatre, Communication and Games.
