My scientific journey: From protein design to biocompatibility assays
On Friday, November 7, Dick Sjöström will give a lecture in the Department of Chemistry and Biomedical Sciences seminar series.
About the seminar
Dr Sjöström has been active in research for ten years and will give a presentation of his journey so far. Dick started his Ph.D. in Dr. Sinisa Bjelic's research group where he designed and engineered proteins related to the transferrin receptor 1, the body's main receptor for iron transport.
He continued as a Postdoctoral researcher in Dr. Per Nilsson's research group, studying, among other things, the intricate interplay of the immune system in the blood when exposed to different types of nanoparticles.
The seminar is held both on-site in room Lapis, building Vita in Kalmar, and via Zoom at this link.
