Young Researchers Conference: Harnessing creativity for a sustainable future
Welcome to the annual Young Researchers Conference, 6-7 November 2025 in Växjö.
The Linnaeus Knowledge Environments invite all Master's students, doctoral students and postdocs at Linnaeus University to a joint conference.
The goal of this conference is to cultivate a vibrant community that encourages new research collaborations and research methods to explore new pathways to sustainability.
The conference will feature plenary sessions with expert speakers who will explore the integration of sustainability within academia.
The conference will advocate for a transdisciplinary research approach that goes beyond traditional academic boundaries and encourages collaboration with non-academic stakeholders to address societal challenges.

Note: You will be asked to upload a 300 word maximum abstract in your registration form. The abstract should describe your research background and interests. It will be used by the planning committee for preparing the conference, and gauging the diversity of expertise. It will not be published.

10.45 - 11.15 Plenary lecture and discussion: The Practice of Transdisciplinarity: Connecting Knowledge, Stakeholders, and Identities, Sophie Haslett, Stockholm University, researcher and co-creater of the TRACEE Transdisciplinary research program
11.15 - 11.30 Fika
11.30 - 12.00 Early Career Research Grant Presentations, FORMAS, Familjen Kamprads Stiftelse
12.00 - 13.00 Lunch
13.00 - 14.00 Group breakouts, Icebreaker session (2 minute presentations) + group research presentations, 5 minutes each.
14.00 – 14.30 Fika
14.30 – 15.00 Merle Jacob, Lund University , presentations of sustainable development goals UN Sustainable Development Goals
15.00 - 16.00 Group breakouts, discussion of SDGs, groups should make arguments and decide which SDG (and challenge within) that they will focus on for their project
16.00 - 16.30 Plenary speaker, Maryna Lytvyn, Director of Sustainable Development Center at DniproTech, PhD in Economics, Vice-Head of Sectoral Expert Council at NAQA & including questions
