Welcome to a research seminar organised by the subject group in Leadership and Organisation.

Daniel Nyberg – Professor of Sustainability, expert in climate change and corporate political activities, The University of Queensland and Professor visiting LNU.

Bloc 1. Work-in-progress draft paper on How responsible leadership emerges in multistakeholder collaborations

The discourse around climate change has introduced new temporal categories, such as ‘climate urgency’ and ‘responsibility.’ Such a shift reconfigures how the hyper organization society engages with natural resources, development, and sustainability, prompting changes in policy, economic models, and lifestyles In the first hour of the research seminar, Ermal Hetemi, Mikael Lundgren and Daniel Nyberg will share some insights on their work in progress research on understanding how multiple stakeholder groups actually experience, co-create, contest, and renegotiate responsibility across multi-stakeholder initiatives where authority and accountability are widely distributed and profit is not the core objective.


Bloc 2. Writing for and proposing Special Issues in Academic Journals: Strategies,
Opportunities, and Career Timing Led by Daniel Nyberg

Special issues offer a unique platform to shape scholarly debates, highlight emerging themes, and build research communities around shared interests. Whether you are considering contributing to one or curating your own, in this workshops we are going to discuss why, how and when of special issues:

Why special issues matter: We are going to discuss how they contribute to academic influence, visibility, and scholarly agenda-setting.

How to approach them effectively: We are going to share insights on crafting compelling proposals, coordinating guest editorships, and navigating peer review dynamics.

When to engage: Together we can explore the strategic value of special issues at different stages of our academic careers—from establishing a research identity to building networks and achieving impact. This workshop is foremost about sharing experiences and learning from each other.
