Araceli Turmo is Associate Professor of Law at the University of Nantes, France, where she also serves as Vice-Dean for International Relations. She earned her PhD from Université Panthéon-Assas (Paris II) in 2016.

She teaches EU institutional, procedural, and substantive law at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and her research focuses primarily on EU procedural law and European criminal procedure. Her scholarship also spans a broad range of EU law topics, including European citizenship, fundamental rights, and asylum policy. She is a member of the editorial boards of EU Law Live and the Revista de Derecho Comunitario Europeo
