Indian students learn more about sustainable management at Linnaeus University

Seminars and study visits at different sites in the Växjö region will give 17 master students from the Indian Institute of Management good examples of sustainability.

During five intensive days, 29 August to 2 September, a group of 17 students from the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (IIML) will visit Linnaeus University in Växjö. Lucknow, with three million inhabitants, is the largest city in the state of Uttar Pradesh in north-east India, close to Nepal.

The students, led by Professor Sushil Kumar, belong to the Master Programme in Sustainable Management and their visit is part of IIML’s International Immersion Program. During their week in Växjö they will take part of current research at the university, as well as visit a number of sites in Växjö and in the Kronoberg county to see and hear good exemples of sustainability, e.g. the wooden houses of the Välle broar project, the recycling plant at Norremark, the district heating plant and IKEA.
