Receives grant from Rector Emeritus Hans Wieslander's grant foundation for innovative research at Linnaeus University, for his research about economic value creation from digital technologies and digital information.
When Växjö University College became an independent authority in 1977, Hans Wieslander was its first rector. When he turned 70, the "Rektor emeritus professor Hans Wieslanders fond för innovativ forskning vid Linnéuniversitetet" was founded. From this foundation, a grant is awarded every other year to researchers of great merits in Växjö and Kalmar.
The grant for 2016 is awarded Darek Haftor, Professor of Informatics. Darek receives the grant for "his work in the research about economic value creation from digital technologies and digital information". The grant will be delivered at Linnaeus University's grant ceremony in Växjö on Friday 25 November.
