Gunilla Bradley Centre partakes in panel discussion on the good ICT society

Professor Darek M Haftor was one of the invited speakers at a panel discussion during a conference of the International Society for Information Studies in Gothenburg. The discussion was entitled The Good Information and Communication Society – from Theory to Actions.

On 12-16 June 2017, Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, hosted an international conference of the International Society for Information Studies with the theme Digitalization for a Sustainable Society. The summit featured a scholarly panel discussion entitled The Good Information and Communication Society – from Theory to Actions, which was organized by profesor Gunilla Bradley.

One of the three invited speakers was professor Darek M Haftor, Director of the Gunilla Bradley Centre for Digital Business, who gave a talk entitled "Multiple dimensions of sustainability: in search of balance for the good ICT society". Professor Haftor's message was that there is a need to critically reflect upon the use of digital technologies and to cultivate their use, as technology and its algorithms lack the ability to conduct moral reflections and considerations.
