Jannis Angelis new Guest Professor at the Gunilla Bradley Centre for Digital Business
Jannis Angelis will lecture at the one-year Master Programme in Digital Business Development and do research on how business operations are transformed by the use of digital technologies.
Dr Jannis Angelis has been part-time appointed as Guest Professor at the Department of Informatics and the Gunilla Bradley Centre for Digital Business. Jannis is an expert of strategy of a firm's operations, which currently undergo dramatic changes due to the novel use of digital technologies. His research include the identification of opportunities and their implications from the so-called Blockchain 3.0 technologies, and the performance management implications from Algorithmic Management, for example such as the Uber taxi's practice, where the cab drivers are managed by a set of interlinked algorithms.
Jannis will contribute to both education and research. This includes lecturing at the one-year Master Programme in Digital Business Development (digital affärsutveckling) that is offered by the Department of Informatics in a unique cooperation with the Centre for Information Logistics in Ljungby. It also includes the formulation of new research projects on how business operations are transformed by the use of digital technologies.
– We are very pleased to affiliate Jannis to our group as he will bring a particular competence that we are in need of and that we lack. We are now ready to design and conduct unique research of digital business practices, says professor Darek Haftor, director of the Gunilla Bradley Centre for Digital Business.
