Concurrences has been granted funding for international conference
The prominent research environment Linnaeus University Centre for Concurrences in Colonial and Postcolonial Studies has been granted SEK 170,000 by Riksbanken’s Jubileumsfond for the international conference Global Challenges: Borders, Populism and the Postcolonial Condition.
"The conference is very important for the centre and gathers researchers from around the world. Our aim is to create a meeting that brings the disciplines of critical theory and postcolonial studies together in order to explore new ways to describe and carry out research on societal challenges of global relevance", says Johan Höglund, research manager for Concurrences.
The conference will take place between June 14 and June 16 in Växjö. Keynote speakers are the internationally renowned researchers Boaventura de Sousa Santos, Dominick LaCapra, Carolyn J Dean and Gurminder K Bhambra.
