How industry can transform towards Circular Business Models

Research in informatics has resulted in a report on key areas and success factors for companies that want to work with circular economies to reduce the use of our natural resources.

Researchers at the Gunilla Bradley Centre for Digital Business have recently finalized a multi-year research project in cooperation with researchers at Lulea University of Technology. The project addressed the urgent industrial needs to reduce the use and consumption of natural resources.

The researchers identified a set of key barriers and success factors at a dozen industrial firms in Sweden. The result is a guide for firms for how to transform conventional linear businesses into Circular Business Models, where natural resources use and consumption is reduced.
