European and global historical perspectives, c.1500-1900 Workshop at Teleborg Castle, Växjö, 1−2 March 2018
Fifteen of the world's leading scholars of the history of piracy and maritime raiding in global history gather today at Teleborg Castle for a two-day workshop on "Concurrent Concepts of Piracy". The purpose of the workshop, which is organized by the Linnaeus University Centre for Concurrences in Colonial and Postcolonial History, is to stimulate further explorations in the connective and comparative aspects of piracy in long, global and colonial, historical perspective.
