The mentor programme has begun with an increase of participants compared to last year. The purpose of the mentor programme is to strenghen the students' value through personal development as an additional preparation for working life.
It has been a successful start-up of the mentor programme in both Kalmar and Växjö. This year the mentor programme has 60 pairs of participants which is an increase from last year when 42 pairs participated in the programme. During the start-up meetings, all students and mentors met for a kick-off. The pairs who will work together during the project were given the opportunity to put together their planning.
The programme has a basic arrangement with mentorship but also offers three specializations: one for IT students, another for international English-speaking students and one third for students who chose to focus extra on leadership in the Junior Leadership Academy.
The next step in the mentor programme is individual meetings between mentor and adept. There will be a follow-up meeting in January for the various orientations of the programme. The mentor programme will continue until April, when all participants meet during a closing event.
