Doctoral and master students from Hong Kong at a knowledge exchange visit

Some 30 doctoral students and master students from The Education University of Hong Kong visit Linnaeus University during two days, to learn more about e.g. the university’s research and activities in the fields of digital learning and innovation.

On 6-7 May 2019, three professors/organisers and 30 doctoral students and master students from The Education University of Hong Kong visit Linnaeus University. The visit is part of their International Outreach Study Programme (IOSP), a programme that gives students the opportunity to visit prestigious universities abroad. The goal is to deepen their understanding of the world and to learn them to view issues from different perspectives, through participation in seminars and interaction with scholars, researchers and postgraduate students.

The group is led by Professor Sing Kai Lo, Associate Vice President and Dean of Graduate School. During their two-day stay, the delegation will conduct knowledge exchange with scholars at Linnaeus University and learn about the university’s ongoing efforts in different fields of education. Teacher education, digital learning processes, e-learning and public outreach activities are some of the issues on the agenda, as well as presentations by former and present doctoral students and master students.

The host for the visit is Marcelo Milrad, professor of media technology and vice-dean within the field of digitalisation at the faculty of technology, and Katarina Rönndahl, international relations coordinator at the faculty.
