Joint exercise between the Police Education at Linnaeus University and The Swedish Police Authority
On Wednesday, 25 September at around 2pm, a joint exercise between the Police Education at Linnaeus University and The Swedish Police Authority’s Task Force West is scheduled.
The exercise will be held in auditorium Wicksell in house K and adjacent outdoor environments. As usual, the practice environments will be clearly marked using the Police Education’s exercise tents. Police and exercise leaders wearing yellow wests marked POLIS will be present. During a 10-minute span blanks will be fired and consequently there will be loud bangs.
Why does the Police Education exercise in this manner?
Students and teachers at the Police Education gain a basic understanding and insight into how the police work and collaborate during a special operation with special resources.
The goal is to gain an increased mental preparedness regarding complex police matters, understanding how police resources can be organised during a mass casualty situation and an increased insight regarding Task Force West’s activities.
