The nominees for the Big IT competence award are presented

Ten companies or organizations are now nominated for the Big IT competence award (Stora IT-kompetenspriset), which is awarded to a company or organization that has distinguished itself in education and competence development in a particularly positive way. The prize is awarded by the Department of computer science and media technology at Linnaeus University.

The ten nominees have distinguished themselves for their great involvement in collaboration with educations and students in the Kalmar and Kronoberg counties. The nominees are:

  • IST Group AB
  • Play'n GO
  • Sigma Technology
  • Combitech
  • Infomaker Scandinavia AB

A jury will now interview the nominees about their collaborative work and how they work with internal competence development. This year the jury consists of: Ulrika Svensson, CIL, Björn Lang, Digitri, Stefan Uppman, Videum Science Park, Mats Olsson, Kalmar Science Park, and Johan Leitet, Linnaeus University.

The prize will be awarded on 26 March in conjunction with the meeting of the network Kompetenssamverkan IT.

About the price

The purpose of the Big IT competence award is to appoint an employer who has worked both strategically and engaged with the development of competence of the company's staff, as well as collaborated with education providers and/or students linked to IT-related educations, in order to ensure the future supply of skills in an exemplary manner.
