Intercultural communication and exchange of experience in focus at this year's Staff Training Week

Last week we held our Linnaeus University International Staff Training Week, when we invite colleagues from our partner universities to join us to network, meet colleagues and learn more about, among other things, intercultural communication and conflict management in an intercultural context. This year, 38 people from 17 countries participated, including Ethiopia, Ecuador, Japan, Slovenia, Germany, Ukraine and the USA.

We also had colleagues from some of the universities in the EUniWell collaboration with us, and we asked them what they thought of the past week.

Sylvie Jeannic, Nantes University, France, tells us this was her second time at Linnaeus University. She works in HR and had the opportunity to job shadow our HR department.

"I would have liked to have met them for longer. It is very interesting to compare my work with theirs."

Dolores Pescador, University of Murcia, Spain, works in innovation and commercialization of research, and she had the opportunity to job shadow a person who was working in the same field.

"It was very interesting. I´d like to invite him to us in Murcia to tell my colleagues how you work. It would be very good for us."

Camilla Cosi and Silvia Ferrini, University of Florence, Italy, believe that a training week like this is an excellent opportunity to deepen knowledge and exchange experiences.

"We´ve met many people with different experiences, skills and cultural backgrounds. It´s very useful and gives us many new thoughts."
