The European University EUniWell where Linnaeus University takes part receives continued funding from the European Commission

Linnaeus University is one of eleven universities that are part of the European University for Well-Being (EUniWell). EUniWell has now been granted continued funding from the European Commission in the form of 14.4 million Euros over four years.

"It is very gratifying that we can continue to develop ourselves and our international responsibility for sustainable social development as part of a major European University initiative," says Vice-Chancellor Peter Aronsson. "EUniWell is one of our priority areas that we will work with in the coming years. We now have the opportunity to further deepen our cooperation."

EUniWell aims to equip all students, researchers and staff with the skills and knowledge needed to tackle the complex challenges facing the world today, from individual mental health to climate change on the planet.

Over the next four years, EUniWell will continue to create new approaches to higher education that focus on multidimensional well-being, at the personal, societal and planetary levels.

"The new funding motivates us to continue striving to promote well-being, sustainability and inclusion for positive impact on society," says Ann Charlotte Larsson, Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Internationalisation. "The next phase allows us to build on what we have already done in the first three years and develop further together with our partners.
