The university's new professors lecture about their research

Learn more about folk music, social status, the carbon balance of the forests, reading abilities, democracy, rock carvings and much more when Linnaeus University's new professors hold inauguration lectures. The lectures take place on 24 and 31 January and 1 February 2023, are open to all and will also be live-streamed.

This year, 14 new professors will lecture. Lectures are given in Kalmar on Tuesday 31 January, and in Växjö on Tuesday 24 January and Wednesday 1 February. They are open to all and will also be live-streamed on the web (see links on the respective page below).

Welcome to acquaint yourself with the university's research in film studies, political science, archaeology, mathematics education, musicology, religious studies, social work, sociology, Swedish, English literature studies, forestry digitalisation, forest management (specialisation forest climate benefits), forest ecophysiology, and forest biocomposite materials.

A conversation with this year's honorary doctors Åsa Jungnelius and Vésteinn Hafsteinsson in Kalmar, Thursday 2 February 2023 is also arranged.
