The AI Commission's Roadmap for Sweden
The Government has today received the AI Commission's proposal for measures that will contribute to strengthening the development and use of artificial intelligence (AI) in Sweden. The Dean of the School of Business and Economics, Susanne Ackum, has been the commission's Secretary General.
The work of the AI Commission has brought together many actors in both the private and public sectors to shed light on the conditions for AI in large parts of society. The assignment has included submitting concrete proposals to develop the use of AI in public administration, facilitate innovation and contribute to both safe and ethical development of the technology.
In total, the Commission presents 75 different proposals for measures concerning, for example, new investigations, assignments to authorities and increased government commitment in the form of funding.
"Among other things, we propose a greater investment in cutting-edge research and collaboration between academia and the business community. In all sectors, there is a great interest in AI, but you need help to get started," says Susanne Ackum.
