Ariel Lopez guest researcher at LNUC Concurrences

Dr Ariel Lopez, University of the Philippines, is currently visiting LNUC Concurrences as a guest researcher. Dr Lopez is a historian specializing in early modern maritime Southeast Asia and a member of the research team Historical Treaties of Southeast Asia, led by Professor Stefan Amirell, professor of global history at Linnaeus University.

Dr Lopez will be a guest researcher at LNUC Concurrences from March to May and will work in close collaboration with the other team members of the Historical Treaties of Southeast Asia research program. Apart from working on two research articles, Dr Lopez will attend at least three workshops (in Växjö, Stockholm, and Warwick) and a panel discussion at the Embassy of the Philippines in Stockholm on 4 May.
