Rebecca Duncan has been appointed Associate Professor

Rebecca Duncan, LNUC Concurrences member and Cluster Leader, has been appointed Associate Professor (Docent) of English with focus on Literature at Linnaeus University.

Rebecca Duncan is a researcher in colonial and decolonial literary studies, with a special focus on contemporary fiction and the global south, especially South Africa. After completing her PhD, her research has developed to incorporate both postcolonial and decolonial perspectives, and has also taken on a new ecocritical orientation.

In terms of genre, Rebecca is focused on gothic literature, but also speculative fiction more widely, and her research includes regional, transregional and global perspectives.
