Important Maintenance on December 11
On December 11, 2024, between 4 PM and 9 PM, a downtime will occur to replace the storage equipment for P: (personal storage) and S: (shared storage).
The reason we cannot postpone this work is that the current equipment is old and needs to be replaced immediately. If we do not perform the replacement now, we risk the equipment failing, which would lead to unplanned and potentially longer downtimes. By carrying out the maintenance as planned, we can ensure the transition happens as smoothly as possible and minimize the impact on operations.
This means that all files on P: and S: must be transferred to the new equipment. During the downtime, there may be disruptions which means it will not be possible to access files stored on P: and S:, including access from outside via wfm.lnu.se.
This work will be carried out by operational staff in collaboration with the supplier.
