Successful conferences in stochastic analysis to be annual events

Linnaeus University recently hosted two successful research conferences on stochastic analysis. Both events will continue annually.

From 1 July to 5 July, the Linnaeus Workshop on Stochastic Analysis and Applications took place at Linnaeus University in Växjö. More than 30 specialists from around the world attended Linnaeus University to present their current work during the conference which was dedicated to the late Yuri Kondratiev. The event was organized by the Stochastic group at Linnaeus University.

From 26 June to 29 June, the Young Summer School in Stochastic Analysis was held at Linnaeus University in Växjö, with 30 doctoral students and postdoctoral students from Europe and North Africa participating. The summer school, which brings together young researchers in the field to promote scientific exchange and networking, was organized by Bielefeld University in Germany and Linnaeus University and supported by the German Mathematics Union (DMV).

”Both events were so successful that we decided to make them annual events”, says Wolfgang Bock, Senior lecturer at the Department of Mathematics, Linnaeus University. “In particular, the connection of the summer school and conference is optimal for young Scientists to get in touch with international experts.”

The concept will be used for the “Lucia Workshop on Fractional Calculus and Processes” held from 9 December to 13 December, 2024 in Växjö with a winter school from 5 December to 7 December about fractional calculus.
