EUniWell expands – new member university in Warsaw
Medical University of Warsaw (MUW) has joined the alliance as its twelfth member, bringing strong expertise in health and medical sciences to EUniWell’s mission of promoting well-being.
“Becoming part of EUniWell is a proud moment for our university. We believe that academic collaboration across borders is essential to addressing the complex challenges facing healthcare and society today,” says Rafał Krenke, Rector of Medical University of Warsaw.
Founded in 1809, Medical University of Warsaw is one of Central and Eastern Europe’s leading medical universities. It educates more than 10,000 students and employs around 1,800 academic staff. The university offers programmes in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy and public health, and collaborates closely with Poland’s top university hospitals.
With its focus on medical research and social responsibility, Medical University of Warsaw will make a valuable contribution to EUniWell’s thematic area Health and Well-being. Membership opens new opportunities for joint research projects, innovative educational programmes and increased mobility for students and staff.
EUniWell – the European University for Well-Being – is a European university alliance committed to promoting health, sustainability and societal transformation. Through collaboration in education, research and innovation, the alliance aims to develop solutions to today’s and tomorrow’s challenges. EUniWell now brings together twelve universities in eight countries, supported by a wide network of partners from across society.
