Professor Johan Höglund has received 498 836 SEK from the call for research excellence, issued by the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Linnaeus University. The funding will be used to initiate the project "Cultures of the Polycrisis", developed in collaboration with Dr Rebecca Duncan, co-leader of the research cluster for Ecology, Culture and Coloniality (ECCo), and Agnethe Brounbjerg Bennedsgaard, PhD student at Aarhus University. The project investigates how culture registers, communicates, interrogates, and is shaped by the “polycrisis” – a concept which refers to how crises of climate, economy and geopolitics intersect with each other in mutually amplifying ways. The funding will be used for research, to organize an international workshop, to produce an edited collection and to explore venues for expanding the project further.
