EBSCO Databases Getting a New Interface in August
EBSCO’s databases will get a new interface in August. If you have an account, you may need to take action, as some saved features will not transfer automatically.
EBSCOhost will update its user interface on August 5. If you use databases such as CINAHL, Business Source Ultimate, or the eBook Collection, you will notice changes.
Databases affected by the update:
- CINAHL with Full Text
- Business Source Ultimate
- SPORTDiscus
- Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts (LISTA)
- Film & Television Literature Index with Full Text
- Criminal Justice Abstracts
- Communication Abstracts
- MLA International Bibliography
- eBook Collection (EBSCOhost)
- eBook Open Access (OA) Collection (EBSCOhost)
- Atla Religion Database
- RILM Abstracts of Music Literature
- Regional Business News
If you have an EBSCOhost account:
Everything saved in My Folder will transfer automatically. However, alerts will not – you’ll need to recreate them after the update.
If you’ve used Custom Folders, you will need to manually save any content you want to keep. EBSCO provides guides explaining how to do this:
- How to access saved data in the new interface
- How to download content from Custom Folders
- How to tell the difference between My Folder and Custom Folders
Also, take a look at EBSCO’s roadmap for upcoming features.
Would you like a demonstration of the new interface or have questions?
