Students Analyzed the Polish Market for Gabriel kakelugnar
- I have long been eyeing the Polish market. Through SmålandsNavet, I received help from four students to create a market analysis for what we should consider if we want to start selling tile stoves in Poland," says Jesper Svensson, CEO and owner of Gabriel Kakelugnar.
He is the owner and CEO of the company Gabriel Kakelugnar, located in the small Småland community of Timmernabben. The company was founded nearly 100 years ago and currently has 15 employees.
- "I am very satisfied with the students' work. When running a small business, time is valuable. It has been a great asset for me to have a group of students who have the time to analyze the market," says Jesper Svensson.
The students have taken a lot of responsibility during their assignment. In their report, they highlight the interest of Polish consumers in a certain type of design. They also emphasize the importance of having a local presence in Poland to manage language, culture, marketing, infrastructure, and the Polish bureaucracy.
- "I have studied at the Baltic Business School myself, and I believe this could be beneficial for many smaller companies. With the help of students, we can access academic results that we can then mix with our practical reality," says Jesper Svensson.
Students David and Emil believe that companies should take the opportunity to collaborate with students.
- "During our thesis work, we only met with Jesper for an hour before we conducted our market analysis. As a business owner or entrepreneur, you don't take big risks, but you have a lot to gain from collaborating with us students," says Emil Hofdam.
