Young researchers gathered in Växjö for summer school on stochastic analysis

From 11 to 14 June, Linnaeus University hosted the Young Summer School on Stochastic Analysis (YSSSA) at its Växjö campus. This year, the event brought together some 30 young researchers from nine countries, to foster scientific exchange and networking.

The summer school is aimed at doctoral students and early-career researchers working in stochastic analysis – a branch of mathematics that studies random processes – as well as in probability theory and other related fields. This year's program featured participant presentations, a poster session, and a mini-lecture series by the world-known expert Elton P. Hsu from Northwestern University, USA.

"We want to bring junior researchers together in a special environment in order to foster scientific exchange, networking and discussions about academic career pathways" says Wolfgang Bock, organizer and senior lecturer at Linnaeus University.

The Young summer school on stochastic analysis is organized by Linnaeus University in collaboration with Bielefeld University and Technical University of Berlin. It is already the second time this event takes place. The YSSSA 2026 will be hosted at Linnaeus University again from 10 to 13 June 2026.
