Global Archives Online is a searchable, free-to-use directory of open digital collections of primary sources in global and colonial history. Aimed at students and researchers, it provides information, metadata and links to hundreds of digital collections from the 15th to the 21st century.
The official launch of Global Archives Online was held in Växjö on 30 November 2023 in connection with the workshop Global History and Postcolonial Studies. The directory, which is maintained by LNUC Concurrences’s Research Cluster for Colonial Connections and Comparisons, currently lists more than 300 collections of primary sources.
