About the project
Health inequalities persist and have increased in some Swedish regions. Considering the multifaceted nature of this problem the new national public health policy emphasizes shared responsibility and coordinated efforts at all levels. To this end the project will follow a transdisciplinary approach involving researchers from various disciplines and practitioners in the field to identify and analyze factors, barriers and unmet needs leading to health inequalities in the Kronoberg region. Moreover, integrating a system and design thinking it will analyze strengths and limits of existing procedures, practices, and solutions being used at local healthcare centers, to identify needs and requirements for an effective and sustainable digital solution to mitigate health inequalities.
What is a seed project?
A seed project is a minor project funded by a knowledge environment or a research group at the university. The aim is to launch and promote excellent research. Depending on the financier, a seed project may be to idenfify new or deepen existing collaborations, preferably cross-disciplinary ones, to explore possible research issues in a feasibility study, to collect empirical material, or to write an application for external funding.
