Linnaeus University supports Open Library of Humanities

Linnaeus University has become a "supporting institution" for the Open Library of Humanities (OLH), a publisher that operates according to the principles of diamond open access and non-profit.

The Open Library of Humanities publishes about 30 journals and is financed through contributions from over 300 member libraries worldwide. Authors can publish in all journals without having to pay a publication fee.

In a press release, OLH describes the collaboration with Linnaeus University as follows:

With this partnership in place, Linnaeus University demonstrates its support of diamond open access. The Open Library of Humanities is collectively funded by its member libraries and wouldn't be able to operate without their generous support. Redirecting funds for the support of scholar-led diamond OA initiatives is vital for the survival of not-for-profit platforms such as OLH. It helps build an academic publishing ecosystem based on equity and on a vision of academic research as a global public good.
