International Business Programme

Do you want to work with international business, in Sweden or abroad? On the international business programme you will learn how to establish, maintain, and develop business relations in an international context.

This dynamic programme gives you a solid bachelor of science in business administration with specialisation in international business. It also offers a special focus on the world’s most interesting areas of growth, like China, India, Latin America, and the African continent. The main field of study is business administration, and courses in organisation, marketing, entrepreneurship, and management control are combined with the profile subject international business studies that deal with historical, economic, and political aspects relating to international business activities. There are also courses in international economics, statistics, and commercial law. Theoretical frameworks and tools are integrated with insights from and interaction with practices concerning professional international sales, purchase, and business development that will be of direct use for you in your future professional life. Experience-based learning takes place in an exciting and stimulating international study environment since a mix of Swedish and international students are admitted to the programme.

Career

The programme prepares you for work in small as well as large international companies. A potential future job can be to lead a company’s international venture as marketing or sales manager, import/export manager, product manager, or entrepreneur. Other potential future titles are business developer, project manager, export sales officer, purchaser, key account manager, head financial officer, and marketing director.

Bachelor of Science with specialisation in International Business (Main field of Study: Business Administration).

The language of tuition is English. In this way, you will become prepared not only for a national career but also for a career in international contexts. As a student on the international business programme, you also have the opportunity to study your final year at Berner Fachhochschule in Switzerland to get a “double degree” – an extra degree in addition to the one you obtain from the international business programme.

Aumarin wanted to study business, but was not entirely sure what exactly. After having spent a couple of years abroad, it became clear that International business was the perfect match. During her studies, she seized every opportunity to make the most of her study years; like studying abroad, carrying out field studies in a development country, and contributing to student life through student associations. Now, six months after graduating, she works as eCommerce Marketing Associate at Mighty Solo – a newly-launched clothing brand for sportswear.
