The course focuses on linkages between different scientific traditions and academic fields in a transdisciplinary perspective on health. Topics covered are

- Theories and research approaches within health sciences
- The research process in health science
- Theoretical application of a health science perspective in research
- Legislation for the ethical review of research projects
- Ethical principles in research
- Legislation for good research practice, investigation of unethical behaviour in research
- Deviations from good research practice
- Ethical responsibilities of researchers
