Philosophy of Science for Doctoral Students
This course provides an overview of the fundamental issues and historical development of modern philosophy of science.
We will review different approaches to scientific explanation and understanding, the nature and function of different theories, as well as different conceptionsabout the distinctive features and progression of scientific knowledge, and also discuss the relationship between natural sciences, the humanities and social sciences.
