Qualitative analysis of learning situations in mathematics, 3MAT002

The course aims to introduce how and why different theoretical perspectives are used within
the didactics of the mathematics subject have developed and what separates and unites these perspectives as well as describe and problematize key concepts and methodologies that dominated under different periods.
The purpose is also to describe and problematize the fields of knowledge based on one
broad perspective and how didactic theories can be used to identify, problematize
and analyze classroom processes with a focus on teaching didactics.

Teaching method

The course is given in the form of seminars and lectures both on campus and remotely. The 2 campus-based parts of the training comprise two two-day meetings, with discussions and examinations.
