The centre for Gender Studies provides a platform for gender related research, education and collaboration at Linnaeus University. Gender Studies is an interdisciplinary field with broad societal relevance.
The centre brings together the large number of researchers from different departments and faculties at Linnaeus University whose work is related to gender perspectives.
The centre provides opportunities for students, staff and researchers from various disciplines to engage and collaborate. The centre is part of national and international networks within the field.
The board of the centre comprises Maria Eriksson (manager, senior lecturer) and Hanna Hallgren, associate professor, both within gender studies at the department of social studies; as well as Pernilla Jonsson Severson, associate professor in media and communication studies at the department of media and journalism.
Two professors are affiliated with the centre: Ulla Manns, professor of gender studies at the school of culture and education at Södertörn University and Maria Tamboukou, professor of women's studies at University of East London.
