Ethnographic Forum is a research group where members share a common interest in qualitative and ethnographic fieldwork. The group consists of researchers and graduate students from a variety of disciplines such as social work, sociology, pedagogy, sports science, archaeology and more.
The ambition of this research group is to provide a forum for collegial discussions in a generous and inclusive atmosphere. The group pays particular interest in questions concerning field access, interviews, observations, ethnographic analysis, theory in ethnography, ethical dilemmas, ethnographic writing style and genre, multi-sited ethnographies and more. Continuous discussions are held relating to ethnographic research in both theory and practice. In addition, the group facilitates support during applications for funding or ethical permissions, and during the processes of publishing results.
