More about the project

For the past three years, Skanska, Södra and Combitech have been working together within a project called Crossways Växjö. The collaboration has been broadened and now includes Växjö energi and Wexnet as well as Siemens and Region Kronberg.

The group collaborates to find the best solutions for a new district, Bäckaslöv. The idea is to develop a smart and sustainable district.

We are investigating a variety of solutions in different aspects of smart cities. The first projects in the portfolio are related to innovations in energy and a digital platform that will enable new business models.

The project is part of the research in the Data Intensive Software Technologies and Applications (DISTA) and Linnaeus University Centre for Data Intensive Sciences and Applications (DISA) research groups.
