More about the project

From a well defined area of use and technical life time we study, by the use of the scientific engineering method 'Systems Engineering', possibilities and limitations to manufacture various types of light weight vehicles in fossil-free high strength steel.

Subproject:

  1. The installation vessel Venus - offshore wind turbine
  2. Turbine blades - offshore wind turbines
  3. SAR Snöfrid - patrol boat
  4. The hope 'Silbbaädno' - hunting, fishing and leisure boat
  5. The kayak ‘Staalehke’ - leisure boat

The project is part of the research in the research group Welding Mechanics Laboratory (WML) and in the Linnaeus Knowledge Environment: Advanced materials
