More about the project
The project focuses on African American and African comics and graphic novels that chart utopian alternatives, drawing from the 20th century history of speculative fiction from the Black Atlantic. I have also worked with refugee narratives and the form of the graphic memoir in contemporary comics.
The project is part of the research in the Linnaeus University Centre for Concurrences in Colonial and Postcolonial Studies.
