More about the project

The problem area is interdisciplinary and is based on pre-school research, communication science and research on digitalization. The research group sees it as important that studies are carried out on the cooperation between home and preschool and how the cooperation changes when communication is more digital. What consequences does it have for the relationship and for the collaboration? There is reason to suspect that some groups of parents are disadvantaged by this transformation, for example due to language barriers.

The central question that surrounds further questions and problem formulations is: How have the conditions for cooperation between home and preschool changed as communication has become increasingly digital? The research group will study the issue both from a guardian's and a preschool teacher's perspective, as well as from an interculturality perspective. The project should serve as a starting point to make use of the diversity of experiences that exists among pre-school teachers and guardians, but which is not included in current research in a Swedish context.

The project is part of the research in Linnaeus Knowledge Environment: Digital Transformations and has been preceded by a seed project bearing the same name (page in Swedish).
