More about the project
Students with intellectual disabilities have difficulties learning to read and many students never crack the reading code. Research shows that students with intellectual disabilities need targeted interventions with high intensity over a long period of time to learn to read.
In the project Increase reading development in the adapted school with the help of LegiLexi (ÖLAS), we will evaluate how the introduction of the formative assessment support LegiLexi can support reading learning for students with intellectual disabilities in the adapted school (formerly the special school). Examining the reading development of students in the adapted school in this structured way is unique in Sweden.
