Cultural Entrepreneurship in the Field of Music

In this subproject, we aim to understand the specific opportunities and challenges that face different cultural entrepreneurs in the field of music, while also developing strategies and concrete ways of working to address these opportunities and challenges.

Digitalisation and streaming technology have fundamentally changed both the ways in which music is consumed, produced, and distributed, and how economic value is generated and distributed among different actors in the industry. This presents cultural entrepreneurs in the field of music with new challenges and opportunities – requiring both new knowledge and altered business strategies and forms of collaboration. Consequently, the subproject aims to develop such knowledge, strategies, and collaborations by assembling groups with participants that have different experiences within the field of music.
