More about the project
This project investigates internationalization and interculturality in teacher education by examining how student teachers think about and perceive their future work in relation to internationalization and intercultural competences.
Repeated studies show that teachers’ attitudes and skills are crucial in creating structures of inclusion and opportunity in schools. Schools play an important role in shaping democratic societies, and teachers are central in promoting fundamental democratic values such as equity, equality, and tolerance, as well as in fostering diversity and inclusion.
By investigating student teachers' perspectives in a wide range of European countries, we aim to enhance the understanding of national and cultural differences in preparing future democratic citizens.
The project is part of the Erasmus KA2 project BAGSKOL: Understanding culturally complex teaching as a challenge to teachers’ and educators’ agency in education.
