TriMo is an app for Augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) with the aim of increasing independence of children and adults with speech impairment. In TriMo, the modern mobile technology's potential and functionality are explored to motivate increased use and to make it easier for adults in the user's environment to introduce the AAC device.

Thousands of children who lack spoken language use different Augmentative and alternative communication aids (AACs). Many, however, lack robust digital tools that aim for independent communication. To achieve this goal, the child is dependent on the adult world using the tool with the child on a broad front – so-called modeling.
The robust app TriMo supports children and adults in this difficult process by harnessing the full potential of mobile technology to motivate and simplify increased use and modeling. The goal is for more children to become involved and participate in society.
